Deeply appreciative of Sh. Varun Gandhi’s soul stirring speech, Dr Prashant Bhalla, President, Manav Rachna Educational Institution, stated, “Prime Minister of India recently in one of his addresses said a new India is emerging which is being powered by the strength and skills of 125 crore Indians. It is the India driven by innovations, hard work and creativity. An India characterized by peace, unity and brotherhood and an India free from corruption, terrorism, dirt and black money. To realize this dream and to usher in a new India, youth i.e. 65% of our population, who are filled with tremendous and towering ambitions, can play a significant role. Driven by our Founder’s vision and carrying forward his legacy of ‘Creating Better Human Beings’, Manav Rachna in its own humble way has been nurturing and harnessing the potential of the youth of our Country and I am sure Sh. Gandhi whom the youth of today idealize and look for guidance will help motivate our students to realize their potential, inspire them to work with dedication and zeal for nation building thereby ushering in a new India.”
It is noteworthy that Sh Varun Gandhi was at the campus as a youth icon to speak on the topic ‘Youth-The Usherers of New India’ at a special lecture organized by Faculty of Media Studies & Humanities, Manav Rachna International University. Needless to say, he struck an instant chord with the young audience for whom it seemed like the opportunity of a lifetime.
Addressing the youth, Shri Varun Gandhi said that the possibilities for the youth are infinite and in the digital era and the Internet, the opportunities for making an impact and mobilizing public opinion is limitless. Recalling the extraordinary feats of apparently ordinary youths, Sh. Varun Gandhi impressed upon the young audience the fact that they symbolize the energy that our country can depend upon as they dedicate themselves towards the building of the intellectual capital of the country. He also emphasized upon the significant role of RTI as “being the biggest gift in independent India” where increased accountability can deepen the engagement of the country’s youth and sensitize them towards core issues.
